SPFS (‘System for Transfer of Financial Messages') is a Russian equivalent of the SWIFT financial transfer system, developed by the Central Bank of Russia. The system has been in development since 2014, after the United States government threatened to disconnect Russia from the SWIFT system.
There are plans to integrate the SPFS network with the China-based CIPS (Cross-Border Inter-Bank Payments System). If either of those then interconnect to India's SFMS …. 😳
If Russia is removed from SWIFT, the blow to the US economy, and especially that of EU would be enormous. The vast majority of SWIFT transactions are settled in US dollars, which helps solidify the US currency status as the global reserve currency. This gives the US tremendous influence over the world economy, therein lies the real power.
If Russia + China, et al, come up with an alternate system to compete against SWIFT that will be a competing currency transactional system and it’ll further weaken the US dollar. Not to mention Russia is the second largest exporter of energy and China is the largest manufacture exporter.
They could start their own economy and adopt existing partners such as African countries (largest precious mineral producer) and Saudi Arabia (third largest energy producer) putting Europe and United States economy back extensively. [AS NOTATED in WEF Documents. See my previous posts]
By disconnecting Russia (one of the biggest oil producers) from Swift, US$ will be DESTROYED as the global reserve currency for oil, the most traded commodity in the world, which is paid in US dollars.
If "forced to leave SWIFT", Russia may expand SPFS internationally, and nations that intend to keep importing Russian oil and natural gas will likely have to join Russia’s new banking transaction system.
If Russia breaks from SWIFT, watch for China and India to announce the same. We are actually watching the destruction of the US$ system taking place before our eyes. Begin watching for the words “Eurasian Union” to appear in articles.
We are getting closer to the new digital economic system and global digital currency, soon. What is horrific is that developed countries [ America, etc ] will drop from having 80% of the world's income to 35%.

I don’t condone any war, violence or persecution of the innocent. My heart goes out to the affected people of Ukraine. And I am no geo-political expert but I struggle to understand where all this outpouring of sympathy was when Iraq, Afghanistan or Syria where invaded and the plunder and suffering heaped on the people of those nations.
My feed is now full of Ukrainian flags and to see Russians protesting against war does reinforce my faith in humanity.
But I wonder why there wasn’t an outpouring of support in America and around the world for the common man, woman and child in Iraq when that humanitarian crisis took place and even today continues to play out?
Iraq is among the oldest civilisations in the world and it’s museums were plundered, to name just one aspect of the ravage and regime change that America and Great Britain orchestrated there.
Of the 4 flags below, most can probably only recognise one. The other 3 belong to Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria.
I also struggle to understand wherefrom America gets the moral authority to preach to Russia when they themselves have sought to initiate regime change and invaded Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria. Opinion:
First, any country attacking and invading another sovereign country, even if it feels threatened, is criminal. Does not pass
muster. If this principle is allowed, any country can invade another on such pretext. Does not have to be a neighbor.
For Russia to say that Ukraine, with the help of NATO is threatening it; is laughable to say the least. If you have such neighbors, you have to prepare your defenses within your country. You should blame God for giving you such neighbors.
We in India, are miserably aware of this.
Now India's predicament in this scenario is painful. Russia / Soviets have been our only steadfast, reliable and good friends among major powers.
1947/8 - Numerous vetoes on Kashmir on our behalf.
Major military suppliers for us throughout our existence. Never supported our enemies in any war we fought.
The West in contrast :
The British conquered and looted us, of course, aided by a section of Indians, just as throughout our history with invasions.
The murderers and looters were decorated, and we did not see even a semblance of apology to date.
The West openly supported Pakistan from its inception. Propped it up always. Made only noises against it.
Took us to task for supporting and leading PRC's admission to UN. Surreptitiously tied up with PRC later.
Had long standing Military alliances with Pakistan.
Incursion of USS Enterprise and tilt towards Pakistan.
Reneging on nuclear supplies after our Nuclear test.
The Western countries, its Government, legislators, media and corporates forgot all about democracy and rule of law and
supported every dictatorship inimical to us all along.
Always the Media, Legislators consistently made nasty comments about us. To add insult to injury, they were consistently anti India and used sporadic incidents in India
to paint us black. In recent times, may be partly due to an inferiority complex.
At the same time, due to love or fear supported those countries - dictatorships and theocratic countries; which were sponsoring terror.
Ignored the fact that incidents which happened in India were rare and far between, one off and swiftly dealt with by our governments and Courts.
Unlike our enemies, who indulged in State sponsored terrorism and annihilation of minorities. Ignored the fact that in most of their countries and those which they support, the original religions were wiped out and the minorities there, were reduced to negligible percentage and ended in
reservations. Only in India and in the East are minorities thriving and increasing in population.
In short, Western countries are frauds. Past history and present actions, make them untrustworthy.
As for Ukraine it has consistently worked against us since the breakup of the Soviet Union
We are now compelled to support Russia with reservations, in our own best interests.

BP out of Russia
British multinational oil and gas company BP is abandoning its 19.75 per cent stake in Russian oil giant Rosneft after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in an abrupt and costly end to three often fraught decades of operating in the oil-rich country.
Rosneft accounts for around half of BP’s oil and gas reserves and a third of its production and divesting the stake will result in charges of up to $A35 billion, the British oil and gas giant said on Monday morning, without saying how it plans to extricate itself.
“I have been deeply shocked and saddened by the situation unfolding in Ukraine and my heart goes out to everyone affected. It has caused us to fundamentally rethink BP’s position with Rosneft,” BP Chief Executive Bernard Looney said.
The rapid retreat represents the boldest step yet by a Western oil company with operations in Russia, including France’s TotalEnergies, amid an escalating crisis between the West and Moscow.
